For industrial & B2B manufacturers

Let buyers configure complex equipment themselves, with your engineering rules built in.

Machinery, racking, enclosures, modular buildings, gates and balustrades: buyers specify, see and validate their configuration in real-time 3D, and your team receives a spec that is ready to quote.

Sound familiar?

Why made-to-order is hard to sell online.

  • 01

    Every quote needs an engineer

Sales engineers spend days on configurations and drawings for deals that may never close.

  • 02

Buyers can’t see how it fits

Whether modules suit their site, their layout or their existing kit is hard to judge from a datasheet.

  • 03

    Spec errors surface too late

Incompatible options found after the order is placed are the most expensive kind of mistake.

What your customers configure

Built around how industrial & b2b are really specified.

Every option, dimension and rule comes from your product catalogue. Typical examples:

  • Modules, sizes and capacities
  • Compatibility rules between options
  • Materials, coatings and colours
  • Accessories and add-ons
  • Layouts that fit the buyer’s space
  • Instant price or budget quote
  • Drawings and spec sheets
  • Hand-off to your CRM, CPQ or ERP

Built on our own engine

Our engine checks every configuration against your rules as the buyer clicks, so incompatible options can’t be ordered. Sizing, materials, pricing, share links and AR are already built, so your project starts most of the way there.

FAQ

Industrial & B2B configurators: your questions.

Something we haven’t covered? Ask us on a free call, or email info@experts3d.com.

Can you use our existing CAD models?

Yes. We convert and optimise exports from SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion and other CAD tools (STEP, IGES and similar) into lightweight models that load quickly in a browser, without exposing your proprietary engineering detail.

Can it integrate with our CRM, CPQ or ERP?

Yes. Configurations can be posted to your CRM or ERP as structured data, or handed to an existing CPQ for final pricing. We scope integrations up front, so the price is fixed before we start.

Can we show different prices to different customers?

Yes. Trade tiers, distributor pricing and customer-specific price lists can sit behind a login, while public visitors see list prices or a request-a-quote flow.

How much does a 3D product configurator cost?

A pilot on one product line starts from £6,000. A full production configurator typically costs £25,000 to £75,000, depending on how many products and options you have, how complex your pricing rules are, and which systems it connects to. Every project has a fixed price, agreed before we start.

How long does it take?

A pilot is usually live in 3 to 4 weeks. A full production configurator takes 6 to 12 weeks. Your proposal includes a fixed timeline with clear milestones.

We don’t have 3D models. Is that a problem?

Not at all. 3D art is done in-house: we build optimised, realistic models from your CAD files, technical drawings, or photos and measurements of your products.
